A full-bodied Bourbon-inspired grain blend, evolved in one-of-a-kind hand selected oak casks.
AROMA. freshly baked cinnamon buns with warm vanilla icing, caramelised peaches, fig leaf and amber
FLAVOUR. sweet toffee apple, crème brûlée, sticky date pudding, mocha and exotic spices

 
 
 

“The French oak brandy cask chosen for this whisky is exceptionally special. 

The idea came a few years back when I was still a professional winemaker in the Yarra Valley. I saved a unique barrel that held my Nebbiolo wine and had it re-coopered into a smaller spirit cask. I then distilled a portion of the wine into brandy spirit and matured it in that re-coopered cask. After aging, when the Nebbiolo brandy was ready and decanted, I used the cask again to mature this first batch of Overland Four Grain whisky. I felt the sweet and exotic flavours in the wood might compliment the four-grain spirit blend. 

So not only did we make the whisky, the brandy and the wine, but they were all matured in the same wood! 

This whisky is an extended experiment in the process of building and layering flavours. Looking back, it was hundreds of hours of labour and almost a decade in the making.  It’s a milestone for us.”
